A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'BAJIXIANG' BOWLS
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each bowl is delicately potted with tall thin sides rising to the flaring mouth rim, supported on a short foot. The exterior is enamelled with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, set between a key-fret border around the mouth rim and a ruyi-border surrounding the foot.
4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) diam.
