A FINELY CARVED SMALL WHITE JADE SEAL
18TH CENTURY
The seal is of flattened rectangular form, surmounted by a finely carved mythical beast with its head turned towards its long bushy tail. A further beast is depicted to one side and a bat with outstretched wings to the opposite side. The base is carved with the three characters 'bao zai tian' in seal script. The stone is of an even tone, with honey russet inclusions cleverly utilised to highlight the animals.
