A LAPIS LAZULI 'CHILONG' PAPERWEIGHT
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The paperweight is of long rectangular form and is carved to the top with a sinuous chilong. The sides and base are decorated with scrolling clouds. The stone is of a vivid blue tone with some lighter inclusions and gold specks.
