DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The vessel is potted with flaring sides delicately painted with mandarin ducks and other birds in a pond containing stalks of bright pink lotus flowers. The shoulder of the pot is decorated with four bats surrounded by colourful flowers, reserved on a lime-green ground. The mouth rim is highlighted in gilt, with a key-fret border encircling the foot.
