A FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'PEONY' BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE-BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bowl is potted with tall rounded sides rising to a flaring mouth rim, and is supported on a short foot. The exterior is enamelled with three large peony flowers surrounded by associated foliage, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground.
4 ½ in. (11.4 cm.) diam.

The Simon Kwan Collection, sold 'The Yangzhitang Collection of Imperial Porcelain of the Late Qing Dynasty', Christie's Singapore, 30 March 1997, lot 278.
