A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'LOTUS' VASE
EARLY 18TH CENTURY
The vase is of irregular shape in the form of a large lotus flower. The base is carved with flowing water and the sides have trailing lotus flowers and ducks. The russet areas of the stone are cleverly used to highlight the flowers, ducks and insect.
