A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF SYAMATARA
MING DYNASTY, 15TH/16TH CENTURY
The figure is cast seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, wearing a dhoti, beaded jewellery and an ornate headdress. The right hand is in varada mudra and the left hand is in vitarka mudra. The face shows a gentle serene expression.
