Lot Essay

The current plates were likely made for Heinrich LXXII (1797-1853), Prince Reuss of Lobenstein and Ebersdorf from 1824 until his abdication in 1848, or his successor Heinrich Heinrich LXII (1785-1854), possibly as replacements for an earlier dinner service.
