Lot Essay

The present watch is an excellent example of a DateJust with lapis lazuli dial. Rolex experimented with many different hard-stones, as well as mother-of-pearl, coral, onyx, tiger's-eye, and lapis lazuli. Due to their fragile nature and high manufacturing cost, as a high percentage of dials break during the production process, these watches are highly sought after.
