Decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red enamel and gilt, with a central roundel containing ho-o [phoenix] and paulownia, surrounded by unfolded fans and panels depicting plum blossom, chrysanthemum and further ho-o on a drum, the reverse with stylised flowers
