(42 mm.) high, in rectangular gilt-metal frame, engraved with foliate scrolls, the outer border of pierced openwork, set with tiny turquoises and garnets, a label on the reverse is inscribed in ink 'Prince Charles Edw / called the / Pretender', together with an associated gilt-metal tripod stand for a portrait miniature, with bow surmount, 4 in. (100 mm.) high
