Lot Essay

Anne, Countess Craven, was the daughter of Frederick Tylney. On 1 June 1721, she married William Craven, 3rd Baron Craven of Hampsted Marshall. She died on 5 February in 1729 / 1730, without issue, and was buried at Binley, Coventry, Warwickshire.
This miniature is purportedly after a full-scale painting of the Countess at Coombe Abbey.
