A CARVED CELADON WARMING BOWL
MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY
It is carved with a wide band of foliate meander below a key-fret band, the concave warming surface similarly carved around a central bloom, the unglazed, countersunk base burnt orange in the firing around a central aperture through which the hollowed interior would have been filled.
