ZHOU DYNASTY (CIRCA 1100-256 BC ) AND LATER
The group comprises a celadon and russet sword slide carved with C-scroll decoration; a sword slide carved with raised nodes, the stone is of a brown and russet tone; a sword slide similarly carved, the stone is of a celadon tone; a celadon sword chape with C-scroll decoration; a dark brown sword chape with scrolling decoration.
The largest 2¾ in. (7 cm.) wide

From a Private East Asian Collector (d. 1994).
The first, acquired in 1989 from a collector.
The second, acquired in 1990 from a collector.
The third, acquired 1993 in Hong Kong.
The fourth, acquired in 1984 from a collector.
The fifth, acquired in 1972 from a collector.
