A PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE MODEL OF A HOUND
LATE MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The recumbent hound is carved with its head turned facing the rear, with front paws together and a curly tail to one side. The face, the ears and the paws are finely detailed. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with russet inclusions.
