DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850), UNDERGLAZE BLUE XIEZHU ZHUREN MARKS
Each bowl is finely painted with a pair of phoenixes in a rocky garden with bamboo and plants below a bat holding a chime in its mouth. The covers are each decorated with a phoenix in flight amongst bamboo. All the pieces are reserved on a coral-red ground, the rims are highlighted in gilt.
