A PALE CELADON JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The censer is carved on the exterior with a continuous band of archaistic designs containing taotie masks, divided by archaistic handles modelled as phoenix. The cover is similarly decorated, surmounted by a finial finely carved as a coiled dragon. The stone is of an even pale tone with some natural inclusions.
