A LARGE CIRCULAR FAMILLE ROSE 'LANDSCAPE' PLAQUE
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, DATED BINGZI YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1874
It is decorated with fishermen at work in small boats in a river landscape with tree-lined mountains in the distance and a rocky outcrop with houses. The calligraphic inscription refers to the fable of Taohua Yuan, the Peach Blossom Spring, written by Tao Yuanming, and is signed "Chengmen xueli xie yu Zhushan", the red seal reads "Cheng".
