(Some marginal soiling at beginning and end, occasional light browning.) Uncut in modern calf-backed boards. FIRST EDITION. R.D. Sheldon (ODNB) notes that 'Dozens of works with similar titles appeared as responses to the rise of food prices and resulting popular commotion after 1756 and, especially, the food riots of 1766, but Forster's work stood out as an original contribution then and since.'
