(1903 lacks plate and all advertisements, also with several excisions in column of ‘Births and Deaths’ , 1906 with pp.161-62 detached.) 1903 in contemporary yellow cloth, 1904 in modern brown cloth, other volumes in original wrappers (wrappers worn to varying degrees, 1902 and 1912 with rear cover detached, front cover of 1902 waterstained, 1905 with block broken and lacking rear cover, 1906 and 1915 resewn, 1913 rebacked).
Thirty-eighth to forty-fifth, and forty-eighth to fifty-second edition. The fiftieth 'jubilee edition' of 1913 contains a portrait and personal recollections of John Wisden, the almanac’s founder, who had died in 1884. Owing to the worn condition of some volumes, this lot sold as viewed not subject to return.
