Of traditional form, on eight bracket feet, champlevé enamelled overall with geometric ornament and borders in blue, green, white and translucent red in pan-Slavic style, the hinged cover enamelled in similar shades with a Russian inscription ‘[For] housewarming’ [‘Na novosel’e’], the back cast and chased with a wavy border, marked under base and cover; also with a Swiss import marks
