All of traditional form; the pair of salt thrones on eight shaped feet, the hinged covers nielloed with circular reserves centring cockerels, within scrolling foliage, the back with openwork reserves and applied with circular medallions, marked under bases and covers; the small salt throne also on eight shaped feet, the hinged cover centring a twelve-pointed star, with openwork back, marked under base and cover; the miniature salt throne on four pointed feet, the hinged cover with a circular reserve within scrolls on stippled ground, marked inside base and cover
