Of traditional form with raised prow and handle, the bowl repoussé with a circular reserve centring an Imperial double-headed eagle with the orb and sceptre within ribbon-tied laurel border, the interior of the prow and reverse engraved with gilt flowers, the sides chased with Russian dedication inscription 'Presented by His Majesty to Ataman Sava Kochet for His Service Upon Arrival from the Don to Moscow with Seven Members of the Astrakhan Rebels on 3 October 1705’, the escutcheon-shaped handle engraved with scrolling foliage, the finial cast and chased as the head of a woman, apparently unmarked
