THIRD INTERMEDIATE PERIOD, 21ST-22ND DYNASTY, 1070-712 B.C.
From the walls of a coffin, brightly painted, the interior of one with three standing mummiform deities in profile to the left, jackal-headed Anubis, falcon-headed Re-Osiris and bearded snake-headed Atum, a row of hieroglyphs above, reading: "The Great God who comes forth from the ho[rizon...];" the exterior divided horizontally into two zones, separated by a decorative border, the upper with uraei and Maat-feathers, the lower preserving a series of vignettes separated by accompanying hieroglyphs, from left to right, a Ba-Bird and a standing man in adoration before a seated Osiris facing left, to the right columns of hieroglyphs, reading: "Venerated One before the Great God, who comes forth...," and "Venerated One before the Dog, Lord of the Sacred-land (cemetery)," to the right a seated Osiris facing right, surrounded by hieroglyphs, reading: "the Great God," the sign of the West with the falcon before him facing a standing man in adoration, with hieroglyphs, reading: "Giving," the mummiform feather-headed god Maat standing behind, with hieroglyphs, reading: "Venerated One before the Great God, who comes forth," a mummiform jackal-headed Anubis further to the right and a partially-preserved column of hieroglyphs, reading: "[Anu]bis, Lord of...;" the interior of the other panel with two standing mummiform deities in profile to the left, snake-headed Atum and feather-headed Maat, an incense cone before each, the exterior similar to the previous, with vignettes on the lower register separated by accompanying hieroglyphs, from left to right, seated Osiris facing left, with columns of hieroglyphs to the right, reading: "Venerated One before Osiris Lord of Eternity," and "Venerated One before Isis the Great, Mother of the God," to the right seated Osiris facing right, the sign of the West with the falcon before him facing mummiform snake-headed Atum, with columns of hieroglyphs, reading: "Venerated One before Ptah-Sokar," and "Venerated One before the dog (Anubis), Lord of the Sacred Land (cemetery)," further to the right the deceased as Osiris depicted mummiform standing before a tomb superstructure, with columns of hieroglyphs, reading: "The heavens, the earth, the depths, the Duat(?)," and "May you come forth!"
