AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS ALABASTRON
CIRCA MID 2ND-EARLY 1ST CENTURY B.C.
Dark blue in color, the straight-sided fusiform body tapering to the pointed base, with a cylindrical neck and a flat disk rim, light blue and white threads joined to the rim and wound spirally along the entire length of the body, marvered and tooled into a festoon pattern in the middle of the body, dark blue lugs on the shoulders
4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) high
