A GREEK MARBLE VEILED FEMALE HEAD
CLASSICAL PERIOD, CIRCA 4TH CENTURY B.C.
Turned slightly to her left, the torsion creating naturalistic contours along her neck, her oval face with wavy center-parted hair pulled back over the tops of her ears, with delicate features including a smooth forehead peaked at the center, the gently-arching brows forming a continuous plane with the bridge of her nose, the deeply-set almond-shaped eyes with heavy upper lids, her small mouth with fleshy bow-shaped lips, wearing a veil over the top of her head, falling forward along her left side with deep folds
