EDITIO PRINCEPS. The five parts of the Aldine Aristotle were sold separately, priced according to the number of printed sheets (see BnF Einblattdrucke 897). The present copy’s 18th-century owner, Nathaniel Crynes, bequeathed to the Bodleian Library those books not yet in its collection; it already possessed a copy of part V, printed on vellum.
