Frontispiece showing Grabe presenting the book to Queen Anne, Sheldonian device on the titles, engraving on b2r of 10 lines of the Codex Alexandrinus, 32 full-page engravings in the text. (A few minor defects and occasional light browning.) Contemporary tree sheep, gilt spines with red lettering and numbering pieces (some volumes a little rubbed, slight damage to two headpieces). Provenance: ?Lemprière (armorial bookplate) -- 'Chas. ?Darsley' (title signature). cf. Darlow & Moule 4733.
