A note on the reverse of each illustration reads:
"No. 28 Bengali Ragini. A beautiful lady decides to remain unmarried and live in the jungle in the meditation of Lord Shiva. She hopes her lover will return She likes the quiet of jungle life (A friend who fans her stands by)".
"No. 9 Shabhaichi Ragini.
