PROBABLY FRANCE, CIRCA 1860
Each of rectangular form woven in polychrome wool, one with two central ogival motifs on white and red ground filled with floral motifs and surrounded by a dense boteh; the other with elegant black-ground bands of strapwork leading to two central ogival cartouches wih blue and red scrolls on black ground, the central cartouches surrounded by pointed arches filled with scrolling flowering vine bordered with arched motifs, both machine woven, overall good condition
125 x 65 1/8in. (318 x 165.5cm.) and 144 x 61½in. (368 x 156.3cm.)
