An Apulian red-figure pottery pelike
near to the Dresden Amphora Group, the body showing a woman running with a wreath in one hand, wearing a peplos and with head turned back over her shoulder, arm extended behind with ball, on the reverse a winged figure of Eros in flight, a phiale held out in his left hand, clasping a ball in the other, foliate motif to the left side of either scene, decorative band above -- 5¾in. (14.6cm.) high, mid-4th Century B.C.
