rev. crouching animal, pierced, 3rd Century B.C.; a Roman translucent oval stone intaglio of a seated male youth, nude and with a staff in his right hand; a high sided oval jasper intaglio, with two goats flanking central tree -- 1.3cm. long max., all circa 2nd Century A.D.; a silver coin of Alexander III the Great, with Herakles, rev. Zeus seated, 336-323 B.C.; and a large collection of Islamic, Persian and later European hardstone intaglios, showing portraits, crests, inscriptions and mythological scenes(a lot)
