AN EXTREMELY FINE AND RARE YELLOW JADE 'DRAGON' WASHER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The elongated quatrelobed washer is supported on four ruyi-shaped feet, carved on two narrow sides each with a chi dragon clambering on the rim. The stone is of an attractive greenish-yellow tone with concentrated areas of russet inclusion, finely polished to a high, soft finish. The underside with an incised four-character Qianlong reign mark which may be apocryphal.
