A RARE DOUCAI FAN-SHAPED WALL VASE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The wall vase is finely potted in the form of a fan. The exterior is enamelled on the front with a bird perched on a bamboo branch, and the two sides of the vessel are decorated with bushy-tailed squirrels clambering over fruiting grape vines. The guardstick is decorated with five cartouches containing flowers and ruyi.
