A WHITE JADE 'CATFISH' PENDANT
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The irregularly-shaped stone is carved in low relief with features of a highly stylised catfish, including rounded eyes, curly whiskers, serrated gills and broad fins incised with keyfrets. The stone is of an even opaque white tone with minor russet streaks.
