A LONGQUAN CELADON TWIN-FISH DISH
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The circular dish has deep rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to an everted rim. It is applied in the centre with two fish in high relief, their scales and fins well defined, and covered overall in a pale celadon glaze stopping around the foot rim.
5 1/4 in. (13.3 cm.) diam.
