The twin barrel movement with platform lever escapement and rack-striking on a bell, Breguet-style hands, surmounted by a figure of Father Time seated on rocks supporting an hourglass on one knee, the front with two figures on small pedestal, one an angel cradling twins, the other a classical girl holding aloft a garland, an escutcheon applied to front below the dial, laurel leaf borders, complete with key, on a silver-mounted carved and ebonised wood bracket
