gouache heightened with gold on paper, outside Shirin's tent infront of courtiers and attendants, Khusraw draws his arm back for the final blow, lines of black nasta'liq in four columns above and below, gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, verso with similar calligraphy and margins, and with a heading in blue in a panel of gold scrolling vine, (negligible wear), Persia, 16th century - 7½ x 4½in. (19.1 x 11.5cm.); and another, showing a hunting scene in 16th century style, on 16th century leaf, 20th century - 6 x 3in. (15.2 x 7.7cm.), both mounted, framed and glazed (2)
