REAGAN, Ronald (1911-2004), President. Autograph letter signed ("Ronald Reagan"), to Miss Fraser, n.d. 1 page, 4to, personal stationery.

CALLING HIMSELF "A TIRED HAM," REAGAN THANKS A FEMALE ADMIRER after (evidently) being told he had been voted among the top ten best dressed men by "five hundred lovely young ladies" at Miss Fraser's school. "Your letter of April First (and I hope that date has no significance) was more than a pleasant surprise--it was a very great and overwhelming thrill. Being chosen 'one of ten' of anything by five hundred lovely young ladies is very 'heady wine.' Almost too much for a tired old ham. Seriously I am deeply grateful to you and all your charming students..." A fine, self-deprecating letter, likely from late in Reagan's acting career.
