Gilbert Harding regularly appeared on the BBC television panel show What's My Line? as a panellist, having been the presenter of the very first episode in 1951. A panel of four had to guess the unusual occupations of a number of challengers. On 12th April, 1953, Harding was a panellist when Walt Disney made an appearance as a celebrity challenger. As Harding had no children himself, he gifted the cel to Jo, the wife of the show's producer T. Leslie Jackson.

Christie's would like to thank animation consultant Pierre Lambert for his assistance with the animation in this sale.
