The broken swan-neck cresting centred by a shell and garland, the sides and door with Greek key borders, with foliate and scrolled boss and mirrored back

Lot Essay

An 18th-century example of this type of wall lantern was given to the Victoria & Albert Museum by Brigadier W.E. Clark (D. Fitzgerald, Georgian Furniture, London, 1969, no. 20).
