Small 8° (147 x 90mm). Engraved title with 4 circular emblems, 9 emblematic illustrations on verso of leaves, 5 with a large woodcut ornament on recto, by Sadeler, colophon with printer’s device on recto of last leaf. (Title lightly spotted, ink of first 2 words of bottom five lines faded on G7r, a few light spots throughout.) Maroon morocco gilt by Mackenzie (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: Henry Huth (1815-1878; bookplate) – A. H. Bright (bookplate, dated 1912).
