First work with engraved title, dedication with engraved vignette, full-page portrait of the author and smaller portrait of the author, leaf c4 repeated twice including smaller portrait of the author, 30 portraits of Popes with Latin captions and Italian translations, plate of 'Oraculum Turcicum' with caption in Turkish characters and engraved text below at end; second work with title within engraved border and six engraved plates. (Full-page portrait of the author in first work shorter at outer margin, occasional scattered spotting.) 18th-century mottled calf, monogram HD gilt on covers, spine and edges gilt, modern brown morocco clipcase (extremities lightly rubbed).
