MARK OF NATHANIEL LOCK, LONDON, 1711
With beaded rat-tails to handles, part-fluted sides below a gadroon girdle, front with vacant oval cartouche flanked by chased scrolls, acanthus leaves and fish-scale panels, on collet foot; also a similar but smaller George I silver porringer, mark possibly of John East, London, 1715, and also struck with later Continental control marks, with ribbed handles, the oval cartouche initialled M over PM over G over IS
