With curved single-edged watered steel lap-welded blade, characteristic iron hilt with short quillons and disc-shaped pommel profusely decorated throughout with gold-damascened flowers and foliage, in later red-velvet-covered scabbard with gilt chape embossed with flowers, foliage and a tiger attacking an antelope
