Provenance
Almost certainly acquired by George, 1st Marquess Townshend (d. 1807), Raynham Hall, Norfolk and thence by descent to his son George, 2nd Marquess Townshend (d. 1811), and thence by descent to Captain John Townshend R.M., M.P. (labelled between 1847 - 55), and later 4th Marquess Townshend (after 1856). Thence by descent at Raynham Hall, Norfolk.
