Lot Essay

These works were executed by Salisbury whilst studying at the Royal Academy over several sittings. The inscription on each work respectively denotes that John William Waterhouse and George Adolphus Storey were the visiting R.A. members supervising each life study. Indeed the influence of Waterhouse in the study illustrated is evident.
