Lot Essay

Minegishi's intricately crackled and ridged celadon works exhibit faceted jewel-like surfaces. His kiln, which he has named Fuso-gama ["walking and creating"] is in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture. His work has been exhibited in the annual Japan Ceramic Exhibition, in the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition as well as in Nasu's Queen Museum, Mitsukoshi Department Store Gallery, Niigata in March 1999 and Mitsukoshi Department Store Gallery, Nihonbashi, Tokyo in 2000.
