(1886-1954) (lots 4-14) Born in Dundee in 1886, Elizabeth Mary Watt was to become more famously associated with the city of Glasgow, when - two decades after Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and Jessie Newbery - she became one of the youngest members of the Glasgow Girls. The Glasgow School of Art was a magnet for talented young women, where their abilities in fine art and craft were nurtured and encouraged. In 1919, she was elected as a member of the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists.
