UNMARKED, PROBABLY AUSTRIAN OR FRENCH, CIRCA 1900
Painted with Orpheus & Euridyce in reed and ribbon border with pinned-on silver back, in original fitted case retailed by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. Ltd., Regent St., London; a French enamel plaque, 19th century, painted with 17th century tavern scene; a Continental silver and enamel box, with English import-marks for London, 1934, translucent mint green cover painted with rose swags; and a gilt-metal cigarette case enamelled to front with Watteau-esque scene of 2 ladies serenaded by a lute player
